Slippers - Sizing & Care FAQ
Slippers - Sizing & Care FAQ
Everything you need to choose the right size and get the most out of your Nursey Sheepskin slippers - handmade in Suffolk from natural sheepskin and lambswool.
How do I find the right slipper size?
Our slippers are sized to standard UK shoe sizes, from size 3 to 12, with half sizes available on selected styles. Most styles fit true to size, so we recommend ordering your usual UK shoe size. If you are between sizes, or prefer a roomier fit for wearing with socks, choose the larger size.
Slipper size guide
| UK Size | Fit Notes |
|---|---|
| 3 - 4 | Smaller UK sizes, half sizes available on selected styles |
| 5 - 8 | Most common sizes, true to size on most styles |
| 9 - 12 | Larger UK sizes, half sizes available on selected styles |
Sizing guidance varies slightly by style - always check the sizing notes on the specific product page you are ordering, as some styles run true to size and others suit sizing up.
What if my slippers are too big or too small when they arrive?
If a size isn't right, you can return the item for a refund within 28 days of delivery, as long as it's unworn and has any labels still attached. Include your order number or proof of purchase with the return. We recommend getting proof of postage when you send it back.
Can I exchange for a different size instead of returning?
We're no longer able to process direct exchanges. If you need a different size, style or colour, please place a new order on the website for the correct item, and return your original item within 28 days for a refund. Delivery costs on the original order aren't refundable.
I bought these as a gift and the size is wrong - what do I do?
Email sales@nurseysheepskin.co.uk and let us know. We'll advise on where to send the gift back and help find the right size or style.
Are Nursey Sheepskin slippers made in the UK?
Our Signature and Premium slipper styles are handmade in our workshop in Suffolk, from cutting through to final stitching, with each pair quality-checked before dispatch. Our Outlet and Special Offer styles are budget-friendly lines sourced from a trusted UK supplier rather than handmade in-house, so you can still shop confidently for genuine sheepskin at a lower price point - the product page for each style will tell you which category it falls into.
What's the difference between a hard sole and a stiffened thermal sole?
The hard rubber sole gives a flexible, non-slip feel that's ideal for everyday indoor grip. The stiffened thermal sole includes a leather board for added structure and extra heat retention, making it a good choice if you feel the cold or prefer a firmer underfoot feel.
Can I wear my sheepskin slippers outside?
No. All our slipper styles are designed for indoor use only and shouldn't be worn outdoors, as this can damage the sole and the natural sheepskin materials.
Do sheepskin slippers stretch or break in over time?
Yes. The natural suede or leather upper and sheepskin lining soften with wear and gradually mould to the shape of your foot. They may feel snug for the first few wears before relaxing into a comfortable, custom fit - this is normal and expected, not a sign of the wrong size.
How do I care for sheepskin slippers?
If they get lightly wet, let them dry naturally at room temperature - never use direct heat or a radiator. A soft brush helps keep the sheepskin or suede looking its best. Do not machine wash or tumble dry your slippers.
How long does delivery take?
Stock items, including most slippers, are dispatched within 24 hours. Free UK Economy shipping is available via Evri Standard, with Royal Mail Tracked 24 or Evri Next Day available for faster UK delivery. International orders are charged at checkout based on destination.
