Are Nursey slippers real sheepskin, or synthetic/faux fur?
Every Nursey slipper is made from 100% real sheepskin - genuine shearling, never faux fur or synthetic fleece. We've been working with real sheepskin since 1846, and it's the only material we use for warmth, breathability and durability that lasts.
How can I tell real sheepskin from faux sheepskin?
Real sheepskin has a natural, slightly irregular wool pile with visible variation in curl and density, and a genuine leather backing rather than a woven or knitted base. Faux sheepskin is made from synthetic fibres on a fabric backing, so it tends to look more uniform and doesn't offer the same natural insulation.

Yes. Our slippers are handmade by us in Suffolk, and we've been making sheepskin slippers since 1846.
